FIVE GENERATIONS OF FAMILY TRADITION
Sometimes a photo says more than a thousand words – like this historic picture of our inn, Öhlers, taken in the 1950s.
Cobblestone streets, a bicycle leaning against the wall, classic post-war cars parked out front, and the beautifully ornate façade bearing the sign “Gastwirtschaft Öhlers” – all of it tells a story of life and work in a different time.
Back then, Öhlers was more than just a place to eat and drink – it was a meeting point for neighbors, craftsmen, travelers, and regulars. The sign “Kaiser Export” above the entrance announced freshly tapped beer, and anyone who stepped through the door was greeted with genuine hospitality – just like today.
Much has changed since then – and yet what defines us has remained: a passion for good food, the joy of hosting guests, and a family spirit passed down through generations.
